? Job Description Under the supervision of the Elementary School Principal, the Assistant Elementary School Principal: 1. Assists head principal in leading school community in developing and promoting defined vision. 2. Assists in creating a positive, safe and orderly learning environment. 3. Observes and evaluates teachers' performance. 4. Provides assistance to and advises teaching and other school staff regarding school operations and administration. 5. Assists in performing administrative roles/responsibilities regarding all special education processes. 6. Assists in administering and implementing student behavior plans; investigates behavior code violations; prepares and sends expulsion reports; attends and testifies at student expulsion hearings. 7. Assists in developing and implementing School Improvement Plans and related staff development plans. 8. Assists in planning budgets and approving budget items. 9. Interacts with parents on a variety of matters including behavior, academic performance and non attendance. 10. Interacts with community members on a variety of school and education matters and assists in communicating/coordinating administrative matters with community agencies. 11. Supervises students and directs student activities; monitors student achievement and develops recommendations to improve student achievement; monitors student attendance. 12. Attends and participates in administrative, parents, teacher, student, and community meetings as needed. 13. Assists in overseeing lunch and transportation services. 14. Maintains knowledge of teaching principles and techniques, personnel supervision principles, administrative policies and procedures, budget development principles, Wisconsin Statutes applicable to education. 15. Assists in coordination of student assessment activities; prepares schedules for school staff and students.?
? Qualifications Required Qualifications 1. Master?s Degree in Educational Administration or related field. 2. Evidence that candidate is bilingual in Spanish. 3. Evidence that candidate is eligible to be certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as District Administrator (03, 04 or 05) or Principal PreK-12(51) must be received prior to the start of employment. 4. Minimum of two (2) years experience in a management and/or leadership position within the field of education with some experience at the elementary level. 5. All positions require experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one's own cultural competence i.e., valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one's skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas.?
